I love your bold steps, initiatives and inovation on this site. This is a good directory through which professionals of different fields can be located easily.Indeed you are wonderful!
Please examine this suggestion:A segment should be created where existence of vancancies can be published and individual professionals notified after going through their profiles to ascertain their eligibility for such positions. This can go a long way to increase the sense of belonging of the professionals and serve as a benefit for being a registered professional in Nigeria. Also, you should institute a strong control mechanism to ensure that non-professionals or those without any affiliation with a professional body,do not flaunt membership.Tougher questions could be asked and stringent conditions for registration imposed, so as to eliminate so many ‘fake professionals’.
Thanks for your understanding!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
In the world affairs, when United States of America (USA) sneezes the whole world is at attention! That is just the position of “God’s Own Country”. USA is a pivot of democracy. It’s a nation-of-nations. It’s the ONLY country in the world, to my knowledge, where anybody from any nation is given a opportunity to succeed if he/ she is hardworking. This has been proved several times in all areas of endeavour.
To the entire nations of the whorld, this was reaffirmed on November 4, 2008 when the Kenyan-fathered and White American-mothered Barack Obama was rightfully elected the FIRST African-American President of the country. We all rejoice at this and congratulate, not only the President-Elect and his wife – Michele, but the entire USA and the whole world for this historic gracious achievement.
My prayer for President Barack Obama is that may the Lord God guide, guard, protect, lead and control him. May He grant him the wisdom to rule and revamp the economy successfully.
To our First Lady Michele Obama, you are wonderfully made by the Lord for your husband – Barack Obama. May God bless you and your entire family in Jesus’ name. Amen!
The current state of financial crisis rooking the world is a matter of
concern. Before the advent of global financial crisis, it is an issue Nigerian banks have been living with. This is largely due to non-professionalisation of the profession. Nigerian banking sector is classified as all commerce profession, with free entry and exit of any body.

MARYAM BABANGIDA IS DEAD
Mrs. Maryam Babangida was born on November 1, 1948 in Asaba, Delta State of Nigeria. She attended Primary School at her Asaba before proceeding to the north to attend Queen Amina’s College Kaduna for her Secondary education. She also attended and graduated as a Secretary at the Federal Training Centre, Kaduna and later obtained a diploma in secretaryship from Laselle University, Chicago, USA as well as a Certificate in Computer Science from the NCR Institute in Lagos.
On September 6th,1969, she was married to Major Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (now retired General) who took time off the war front to tie the wedding knot. Their marriage has been blessed with four children – 2 boys (Mohammed and Aminu) and two girls (Aisha and Halima). Apart from a brief stop at a career in her line of training, before and shortly after marriage, Mrs. Babangida remained a full time housewife, establishing and nurturing her children until the youngest had fairly come of age.
There is no doubt that Mrs. Maryam Babangida is considered to be one of the greatest and resourceful women in Africa and world today. She made that significant sacrifice in her staunch belief that the family unit is the most crucial factor in the quality of society and of mankind and that the woman is the central anchor of the unit.
By December 31st 1983 when her husband became the Chief of Army Staff, Mrs Maryam Babangida sprang into action by leading, as the President of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) and established schools, day-care centers, and other valuable family-oriented programmes. As an opportunity arose to move up as the First Lady of Nigeria when her husband became the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces, she mobilized women in Nigeria by establishing an nation-wide organization (Better Life For Women) that no other First Lady in Nigeria has ever matched up. It was during her twenty month presidency that her leadership qualities were first unfolded to the public as she mobilised her colleagues to embark aggressively on public spirited ventures which included building schools, clinics, women’s multipurpose training centres and child day care centres. In that short period she hit the National limelight by transforming the image of the Association (Better Life For Women) from one of redundancy and relative obscurity to a credible and resourceful organisation, thus winning more members and public goodwill and honours in the process.
Mrs Maryam Babangida was a true champion and true national leader. We all remember her significant role in influencing the appointment of competent professional women into key positions in ministries, banking, colleges and universities, amongst others.
NIGERIAN PROFESSIONALS MISSED A PILLAR IN DEVELOPMENT!
Our sincere condolence goes to entire Nigerians, her darling husband (General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida), her children, friends, and well wishers worldwide!
